When an old university friend is murdered in Copenhagen, Sam Webster is determined to uncover the truth of what happened to him, and to unearth the conspiracy which might have played a part in his death. The Danish police don't want Sam to get involved, the CIA want him out of the city, but what none of them knows is that Sam is perfectly placed to uncover such a crime, because creating conspiracies was once his job. This time, though, even Sam might be out of his depth - is it possible that his old friend's death is linked not just to a conspiracy, but to the biggest news event of this century...? Kevin Wignall is the author of five novels, including the Edgar-nominated "Who is Conrad Hirst?", and "For the Dogs" which is currently being turned into a movie. www.kevinwignall.com

Dark Flag eBook Kevin Wignall

A spy(ish) novel that is as thought-provoking as it is full of twists and turns.

An excellent read that combines not only an intriguing plot, but also excellent character depth and development. Sure, there were weapons and cat-and-mouse chases and such, but the book never felt too technical...it was a very human story, expertly told. A mental thriller.

It's a big plus that Mr. Wignall set the mystery in Copenhagen, a seldom used location for such stories. The author also avoids spy genre cliches, which was a huge plus.

An excellent book from start to finish. The ending was superb. Searching for my next read from Mr. Wignall in my browser's other tab at this very moment.

Dark Flag eBook Kevin Wignall Reviews

This is the second book by this author I've read (A Death in Sweden was the first). I had trouble putting the book down, and there was a twist at the end I wasn't expecting! Thanks, Mr. Wignall for another great read!!
Surprisingly awful for this usually very good author.
Strong characters, strong storyline. Hated to see it end. I just discovered this author and I am hooked! Great book.
In the vein of other Wignall books and that's what I wanted. He grabs your attention immediately. He makes characters and their personalities real. I awoke last night at 130 am. Grabbed the work and happily kept sleep at bay.
Thanks Mr Wignall.
Wig all is a wonderful discovery for me. Dark Flag is not as good as his other works. I did read it with pleasure an recommend the author to any spy/intelligence novel reader.
The story unfolded smoothly, reading was easy, never a chore. The plot development near the end was quite excellent. I might read more of this author. Not exceptional, but a nice diversion.
Second book I've read by this author. His writing style is fluid and easy. Good plotting. I like his explorations into motivations and psychology, not just explosions and tradecraft.
